The Law Unbundled™

Hello! I’m the founder of TheLawUnbundled.com and an attorney licensed to practice law in California. I graduated from UCLA and USC Gould School of Law, earning full-tuition scholarships to both schools. 

 

I dedicate much of my time to volunteering in the community, supporting and serving on non-profit boards and organizations that serve underrepresented groups, or whose focus is on increasing diversity in the legal profession.

I have always been passionate about providing access to quality legal services. However, after more than 16 years of working in and running family law firms, I realized that the traditional law firm model does not work for the majority of people facing legal issues in family law.

Most people do not need to hire a full-service law firm to handle their entire case, and many simply cannot afford to pay more than $400 an hour and thousands of dollars in retainers to hire experienced, quality attorneys.  

 

This leaves people feeling helpless and alone while going through the emotional and complicated process of family law litigation. Important decisions are made without information or legal advice.  And sadly, many individuals make errors that cause unnecessary delays and cost them additional legal fees to try to correct these errors. The bottom line is, over 80% of family law litigants are unrepresented because they can’t afford to hire an attorney full-time, or they don’t know that there are other options.

So in 2018, I began offering unbundled legal services through my law firm, Meza Talbott Law.  To make access even easier, I also launched this online platform www.thelawunbundled.com to provide additional information and resources about unbundled legal services.  Using the power of the Internet, I hope to help meet the needs of more individuals that otherwise would not know where to obtain, or how to obtain, unbundled legal services. You don't have to do it alone.
